After submission, a Job may enter the "Info Gathering" phase. Here, relevant information, such as documentation, is requested from the Client based on the answers provided while completing the tax questionnaire. These requests for data are presented in the form of an "Info Gathering Checklist". The Checklist guides the Client through providing all necessary information while explaining why that information is needed and how it will be used.

The Checklist is organized into "Sections", each representing a specific category of information requested. Sections contain "Items", which are the granular pieces of data needed. Although all the items in the Checklist have been requested based on the answers to the tax questionnaire, not all of them are required to be provided before a Job can be assigned to a Pro. Required items, such as identity documents, are marked as such. Document-based items are automatically filled in when a document with the corresponding type is linked to the Job.
